This gourmet fondue restaurant is the place to be social and that makes you and your guests as essential to the meal as the food. You’ll create pairings as unique as you are. Cooktops are built directly into the tables to accommodate the fondue pots (caquelon), and guests get a communal, interactive dining adventure as they cook and eat their food with special colored forks with long handles.
During the 18th century, the origin of fondue began as a way to use aged cheeses and breads to feed families who had limited access to fresh foods during the winter. As the cheese would age and the breads became stale it became more difficult to eat. The local villagers found that if they heated the cheese with wines, garlic, and herbs they could eat their stale bread which would soften when dipped into the flavorful cheese mixture. This style of cooking together around one pot and eating by a warm cozy fire became a Swiss tradition known as fondue. The word fondue comes from the French word, fonder, which means to melt. It’s not surprising that fondue was considered a national dish of Switzerland, it’s the quintessential meal for a cold winter evening.
At The Melting Pot it’s all about fresh, crafted creations. You may customize your menu however you like. Pair artisan cheeses and breads with the perfect glass of wine. High-quality cheese is the first step toward achieving delicious cheese fondue. All of the cheeses consumed at The Melting Pot come from the gold medal-winning Emmi Roth USA creamery in Wisconsin- with a motto – “A hug without a squeeze is like a day without cheese.”

Entrees with a selection of lemon basil chicken, cold water lobster, shrimp, filet mignon and wild mushroom sachetti are served with specialty dipping sauces, which enhance the flavor of every bite.
