Music City Hot Chicken

Music City Hot ChickenThe popularity of hot chicken has spread beyond the Southern United States as a result of the influence of Nashville’s music industry. Nashville style hot chicken, native to Tennessee, while having been around for decades, has now fled its coop to Fort Collins, CO.

music-city-hot-chickenOwners of the newly opened Music City Hot Chicken, Jordan and Sam Graf, grew up in Fort Collins and played music and attended many of the music venues here in town. It felt like Nashville to them when they were kids, as Fort Collins has made a conscious effort to make live music a part of the fabric of the town. They felt they could adopt the name of Music City, just as they adapted Nashville’s style of chicken- hence Music City Hot Chicken was born.

So what is hot chicken? It’s fried chicken reborn with a fiery spirit! A dry application is made to southern fried chicken that allows it to stay crispy and is an important difference from Buffalo’s style of chicken. you have it finished, and the sides and sauces you pair with it. It has become an interactive experience for many.
