Raised in Fort Collins, brothers Jordan and Sam are Lambkin and CSU grads. Attending shows, eating out, and drinking beer, they began to notice a chicken-shaped hole in the food offerings in Fort Collins and felt the readiness of fried chicken would fit with the established craft beer scene. Just as they adapted Nashville’s style of chicken, they adopted the name of Music City Hot Chicken.
The specialty of the house is southern fried chicken, though it is made different by the spices that it’s treated with after its been crisped. This Nashville Style of fried chicken creates deep flavor and heat with-out making it soggy like a Buffalo Sauce would. All plates are served with one of their house-made sides (Pimento Mac+Cheese, Yum!) and sauces for dipping. They also have seasonal features like Crispy Chicken and Red Pepper Hummus Sando, the Childish Cubano Sandwich, a Thanksgiving Primer Plate that chang-es monthly so stop by often!
The restaurant is a casual and comfortable place for families in the neighborhood to come in and dine. While the food is top notch, the experiences with friendly and often goofy staff are just as much of a rea-son to return. Receive full service at the bar or have your plate brought to you in the dining room to make the most of the time out with your friends and family.
Hot chicken and cold beer are best friends and Fort Collins is undeniably beer rich! They have found the greatest success in the draft and can selections that showcase many Colorado breweries. Nerdy tikis hold juicy Mai Tais and the house cocktails are also great for the chilly months in upon us. The daily happy hour is from 3-7pm.
The Music City Team are beginning their fifth full year of business and are showing no signs of slowing things down, continuing to find meaningful ways to engage in the greater Fort Collins area. In particular, they look to expand their participation and support of local music by hosting parking lot tailgates for CSU football home games and women and mens volleyball and basketball respectively at Moby Arena. Keep your eyes on their calendar!
