The Lost Cajun - Featured Restaurant
The first little Lost Cajun Gumbo shop opened in October of 2010 in a tiny building on Main Street in Frisco, CO. People just love the down-home atmosphere and the authentic Cajun food. It was so popular that I needed to expand and a lifelong friend named Jon Espey, from Alabama, came up for a visit, fell in love with the Rockies and stayed! We opened our second location in Breckenridge in July of 2012 and now we are expanding into Fort Collins. Our gumbos take 4 to 6 hours to cook, like all of our special dishes, red beans and rice, crawfish etouffee and lobster bisque, there are no short cuts, and it’s got to be cooked slowly, with a lot of care! Our seafood is like none that you have ever tasted and the Beignets are just like the ones you get in New Orleans – maybe just a wee bit better! Stop in and try some of our free samples and you’ll see what I’m talking about. As we say in Louisiana, “make a pass” and say hello, feel the down-home atmosphere and “pass a good time!”
Old family recipes bring the best of Louisiana to Fort Collins! We have fresh, made-from-scratch gumbos, jambalaya, crawfish etouffee, and red beans & rice! Not to mention our excellent fried seafood – which is gluten free. (Ask your server for more details.) We also have Cajun-style pastas, boudin balls, fried okra and pickles, spicy sausage, and hushpuppies! And don’t forget the Po’boys…. We have six different types! Entertaining? We have many family size to-go options. Don’t forget about our full bar! We have many Louisiana style cocktails to go along side the usual fare, Abita and Dixie beer, 12 beers on tap! And, Hurricanes – ‘nuf said. We are a casual, family friendly restaurant with a boisterous and entertaining atmosphere. Come dressed up for the play or in your grubbies from work – you will always be welcome and treated with courtesy and respect. Laissez les bons temps rouler – Let the good times roll!
